Message from the President

At AFGE Local 1594, we understand that many VA employees and Veterans are carrying real concern right now. Changes in the workplace, uncertainty in policy, and growing demands on employees have created stress for many people who are already giving their all in service to others.

Our union remains focused on what matters most, supporting VA employees, standing up for fairness, and helping protect the mission of serving Veterans with dignity and care.

We are a nonpartisan organization. We exist to support working people, advocate for practical solutions, and ensure employee voices are heard.

I believe deeply in service to others. I also lean on my faith as a source of strength, wisdom, and compassion. That faith reminds me every day that leadership is about helping people, listening with care, and standing beside those who need support.

I am committed to working hard for Veterans who work at the VA, for VA employees who are not part of management, and for Veterans throughout our community.

AFGE Local 1594 will continue to provide guidance, resources, representation, and a place where concerns can be raised and addressed with purpose.

This is a time for steady leadership, unity, and action. We will keep showing up, keep listening, and keep pushing for a workplace that respects employees and better serves Veterans.
